lyric pro and calling up graphics

We are being ask to load our graphics in the lyric pro HD system to be called up on air. I have figured out what formats are accepted and our chyron operator is able to pull up each graphic individually, however, he still has to save back out as a .lyr file extension in order to call up during a show.
We found out it takes app. 30 seconds per graphic to convert from a .tga file, etc. to a .lyr file (lyric file)
we average 40 to 75 news graphics per 1 1/2 of news and this is not really feasible to do in the amount of time given.
The .lyr extensions are what Lyric saves the file as when you enter a number on the keypad and hit record. I am trying to save out the files in photoshop as .lyr so that the chyron operator can enter a number on the keypad and just hit read, instead of having to go through and import the graphics and record them individually.
does anyone know of a third party plugin that can save photoshop files out as an .lyr fomat, or if there is a way to batch convert all the files in chyron lyric pro?
Thanks,
Sean
