A warning about Dreamstime policy
by Ron Lindeboom on Oct 30, 2009 at 6:32:05 pm

I stopped using Dreamstime to buy images from as they insist that you credit them in your usage.

While this may not be a big deal in some uses, it does cause issues in many projects and so for simplicity's sake, I use the other services that do not follow Dreamstime policy -- which insists that you give both artist credit and Dreamstime.com credit if you use their images.

They are NOT a bad company and I used them a lot over the last couple of years, but I really don't want to have to hang a neon sign on my projects when using royalty-free images. It sort of undermines the whole idea of royalty-free -- at least in part.

Best regards,

Ron Lindeboom

Creativity is a type of learning process where the teacher and pupil are located in the same individual.

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
