InProgress video files

While importing from a XDCAMHD disc from the Sony XDCAM import software, FCServer "found" some "InProgress" files and brought them in to the library from a watch folder. These "InProgress" files are written over by the actual file once the import software gets around to loading the file onto the drive. FCServer found the files and imported them. Anyone know of a method to tell FCServer to leave "inprogress" files alone and wait for the download to complete?
thanks.
