Re: final cut synch problem in M-PEG4 format

I am having the same problem. I have the same camera and shoot in 24f as well. For editing, I use an iMAC.
It seems that I used to be able to export footage from the sequence directly to MPEG4/broadband and have audio and video in sync, but lately, for some reason they are now out of sync. I've checked and rechecked all the settings, and have also tried a variety of other settings, but nothing seems to work. I even downloaded the lasted updates for QuickTime and other Apple updates, but still-no luck.
The one thing that does work is when I export to a Quicktime movie first then export back to MPEG-4 broadband. It's a hassle and takes a lot of time, but the audio and video are in sync. I think the quality may degrade a bit by doing this.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Will purchasing QuickTime Pro help at all?
