Moving FCServer database problem

I tried out FCServer for a few weeks on a G5 Quad. Then we bought a Mac Pro 8core to run it on, with a 1TB drive for the proxy device.
I cloned the boot drive to the new machine because I did not want to start from scratch on FCServer -we set up quite a few custom workflows etc. Everything else on the new mac pro works perfectly after the boot clone - FCP and Compressor just wanted their serial numbers again. After re-typing they both worked fine. I have also repaired the boot drive's permissions.
Howevever, final cut server has a problem. Every time I boot, and go to the FCServer control panel, it says final cut server's permissions needs to be re-set. I've fixed this three times now, but after reboot it is back. I also had to re-type the FCServer serial number. But every time I try to start FCServer it says
"there was an error communicating with the server. Database is not running. Please start up the database server."
Well, I wish I could. How do I start up the database? and get rid of the permission problem at reboot?
Thanks
Francois
Regards
Francois
