Toby:

If filesystem management and organization is what you're seeking from Final Cut Server (FCSvr), you'll need to look at leverage Script Responses within FCSvr.

With script responses you can for example have the creation of a new production spawn off the creation of a very organized file and folder hierarchy on your file system. You would take that further and have script create other production like Toyota Commercial_MOVs, GFXs, & VOs, then link them to the orginal production as sub productions.

You could go 1 step further and then script the creation of watcher and/or scans and have automatically assign any assets drop in certain folders to be automatically linked to a particular production.

With all this being said, FCSvr is very powerful, you just need speak to an experience consultant or integrator.
