Hi Eugene,

The boot.ini edit is an important step. I don't have a mac anymore to test this on, but two suggestions come to mind:

1) http://www.ubcd4win.com/ Use the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows. It should be able to read/write to your NTFS partition. It might be a bit tricky to find your boot.ini file, but a google search should help find the path.

2) Reinstall. This is what I did when faced with this issue in the past.
