I've put together a similar set up. High-speed RAID connected to a Mac Pro running both OS X and Vista. The challenge is what file system to use for your RAID. I have mine formatted as NTFS so it's native in Windows. Then I've loaded NTFS for Mac (from Paragon Software) so when I'm in OS X, I can still see the RAID. This set up has worked quite well, though there have been a couple of times that OS X hasn't seen the RAID when I've switched operating systems. When I restart again, it's come back online.

I will say that if you want to use image sequences, neither NTFS for Mac or MacDrive deal well with them. I haven't had problems with QT files though.
