No offense but this is completely the wrong forum for this question. This forum is for running windows on a mac. The forum your question belongs on is probably the Apple OS X forum.
Have you tried connecting a different monitor to the computer. If that does not work I would sign up to see a genius at our Apple Store and have them take a look at it, because it it hard to day what is going on if there is no picture.
There are no "technical solutions" to your "artistic problems".
Don't let technology get in the way of your creativity!
