Illustrator crashes!!! Please help!!!
by Andrew Johnston on Apr 26, 2009 at 4:50:23 am

Okay I'll get right to the point. I try and run illustrator, the loading screen starts up and it starts loading but then just quits. This happens over and over. No errors pop up...

In IConsole I get this message repeated over and over: Apr 25 20:11:05 SuitePea Threw error 1394689636 (dF!S)

I tried restarted..... nope....

I booted in safe mode: I deleted illustrator's settings in user>library>preferences and anything else that had illustrator in it's name.... I also repaired disk permissions.... and i deleted a file called com.adobe.mauby because it looked suspicious and i googled it and looked like it was the cause of a virus or spyware or soemthing.... anyway i deleted that tooo....

I restarted again..... no luck

I made a new user.... I logged on as the new user.... IT WORKED!

But this is not so great... I can't really work like that.... I can't be logging off everytime i need to use illustrator

All my other adobe products work fine.

ANy ideas?

EDIT:

Oh, one more thing... I have production Suite CS3
I am on a 17'' Macbook Pro
I have 4GB RAMa and 2.6GHz processor....
Intel Mac

If you need any more info let me know.
