Stupid mistake with .psd file

Hi,
So I was trying to open a PSD file I worked on for a week and the only thing I see it's one layer called background. All the other layers are gone, yet none of the information is missing. That led me to think that it was flatten. I do not remember doing that. Actually, as I write this, viola, I remember what happen.
I saved the file as PDF. And then saved the PDF as PSD, over the original. And then saved the original over the backup. Stupid me.
So, what do you do in those moments? Curse? Drink?
