Justin WoodStopframe image conversion

Hello,

I have been doing a couple of stop motion projects and have a question about my workflow and converting images for use in a HD project.

I have been taking photos on a 550D and a GoPro HD and converting them using automater/photoshop setting the dimensions to 1920 x 1080. Then importing into fcp.

My question is will this conversion process create HD photos that are the same resolution as 1920 x 1080 video? Or is there something I am missing in respect to pixel aspect ratio?

Thanks for the help apologies if this is not the right forum,

Best

Justin
