Red cine really doesn't like any other apps open, and don't pile on too many shots at once. Trash your preferences and that should unfreeze frameify redcine.

Also, the H proxies look really god damn good. They work great and looking at them on a 17" panasonic, and a 17" CRT via HDSDI they look way better than any Varicam footage, no banding, or other artifacts, and super sharp.
