Well...that sounds like the two years leading up to the RED ONE to me. I can remember standing in cab and lunch lines at two NABs talking with people who were of similar mindset (not working at McDonald's necessarily, but waiting to do a project until the camera came out...some for two years.)

Quite a statement about the impression this company has made on the industry I'd say, but I'd have to agree with BobZ (as I typically do).

I always perceived the philosophy behind RED to be to reset the price/performance standard to make digital cinematography tools available to more users than ever before and diminish the influence of the costs and logistics of technology on the creative process.

It does seem that many are now more technology-focused than ever before...
