Hi David,

one minor correction:

"The 5 and 7d get you the 35mm DOF." The 5D is giving you stills 35mm DOF (which is more than cine) an the 7D is giving you APC (very close to 35mm cine).

And one added remark:
"Ergonomically, it's not a great camera for motion. You can not look through the optical viewfinder (as one example)" Plus, it's rolling shutter effect is heavier than the one from the RED.
