This makes sense as COLOR is limited to 2K. We talk about that as if it's a bad thing, but it has been the standard for film finsih for many years.
I have shot a lot of r3d to film from 4K to Arri 2K laser. What is more important is how the program handles the pixels internally.
I think Gary Adcock would be a great person to chime in on this thread. He knows his pixels.
