Mocha AE

Hello,
I have After Effects CS4 academic version with Mocha for AE V2. I am trying the Shape plugin demo and I get messages saying that I can't export shape data with my version. Same thing in AE with strange watermarks etc... Are there any issues if I get the full version of Shape to use with my academic version of AE? Since I'm a 3/4 time student and not full time technically. Sites are all different when it comes to full/part time. I was going to get it from toolfarm.
