I didn't, in the end I basically realized that since the enclosure took IDE/ATA drives, and since the largest I think anyone made of those was something like 500GBs, I'd do all that work to only double the size of the total RAID. We instead decided to go with new Drobo and G-Tech raid systems using more modern SATA drives.
