Hi,
I had the same problem, and use NTFS-3G. I left my computer rendering the files overnight to a new 2tb MyBook external drive. The next morning the disk was completetly useless, it created an error, destroyed the partition table. I found now that you need to use Paragon NTFS and render your files into you mac first, and then pass the files into the drive.
