I agree, think its a problem related to the WMA codec installation:

Here is a list of steps in addition to the ones previously documented I have taken to try and isolate what may be causing the problem:

1) Uninstalled and reinstalled WMA 12
2) Tested the file on the same version release WMA on a different windows 7 computer
3) Tried rendering the MPEG 1 file without a audio stream to see if I might Isolate the render issue to the Video or Audio stream. If it played back properly without an audio stream it might indicate a file conflict with the sound card driver. Some sound cards, especially professional ones don't always support very low bit audio streams like you often see in a MPEG 1 file.

Still to do>>> sent the file to a available replica build of the computer I am having trouble playing the file on.
