Alan MurdockSony Vegas render problems after fix

Hi everyone. I'm new to this board. For three weeks I've been trying to get my Sony Vegas 11 to render. Like many people I've been having trouble.

I updated all of the dll files recommended by many to indicate it can use more than 2gigs of ram, I adjusted the render template to "render using GPU if available." One thing I notice is that in the preferences there is no option for accelerating the processor using the GPU. Is the software not recognizing my video card?

I'm editing HD video on a Sony Vaio laptop with Intel Core i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50gHz 6GB ram 64-bit
video processor is Intel HD Graphics 3000

When I render a short clip, under 2 minutes it will render a minute of the video before crashing. Once I get over a couple of minutes it will only render a few seconds of video before crashing. Any suggestions?
