Vegas looking at wrong drive after backup

After saving a project and associated MXF files to an external drive, I am trying to return to the project on the editing workstation, but Vegas keeps looking at the external drive for the video files. I can obviously have it search each file, but that is quite time consuming...
I must be overlooking a simple way to tell Vegas to stop looking at the K drive....Any ideas ?
