Thanks for the reply.

I have read the Help. It tells me how. But if I am a "good boy" in setting Project Settings I do not see the difference, except sporadically, to the RENDER....and then the ONLY time I have seen an effect was if I set a really CRAZY aspect ratio. NONE of the other settings seemed to make any difference.

BUT I AM ALWAYS TOLD THAT PROJECT SETTINGS ARE CRUCIAL.

WHY? WHY?/WHY?

WHY do I match it to the source?

What happens if I have various sources....frame sizes/rates?

Have you had a production where your first source was 1080p, the next bit 720i...etc and you had to give a reasonable output? So you are going to have greyscale and colour issues, and what have you.

But do the _Project settings have any effect on the rendered video_?

So far the result has been sporadic for me

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH\
