[Mike Kujbida] "That is just ridiculous :("
No it's not! ;-)

If you are using Vegas Pro 11.0, all of the "Internet" templates have been moved to the new MainConcept AVC encoder. This encoder now has the ability to make files that stream properly and it has wicked fast GPU encoding. I'm talking REAL-TIME!!! My 20 minute Boris TV episodes now take 20 minutes to render using MainConcept AVC where as before they to 3x to 5x to render with Sony AVC. I no longer had to run my MP4 files through MP4FastStart. I'm now creating streaming ready MP4 files using MainConcept AVC.

Just to repeat:

If you are using Vegas Pro 10.0 or earlier, use Sony AVC for Internet encoding

If you are using Vegas Pro 11.0 or newer use MainConcept AVC for Internet encoding.
