Tests.
HDV (tape) m2t files captured from the camera and dropped on a matched timeline and selected.
Tools>Print to HDV tape selected. (delete rendered file unchecked). Timeline renders out, camera swichtes into record mode, tape rolls but viewing screen (on camcorder)remains blue.

Repeat test using same clips but in VP10. Again clips render out but this time the file is correctley written to tape.

Whilst still in VP10 try printing the file prepared by VP11 in first test.
The message The file type is unknown: C:******'Print 11 to tape.m2t' is displayed

Back to VP11 try printing back the file rendered out by VP10.
This prints to tape correctly.

Strange thing is that I can put the file rendered in VP11 onto a timeline in VP10 and render out from here. No recompression reqired is displayed and file prints down to HDV tape

There appears to be something wrong with the file prepared for tape in VP11. Repeatable on 2 pc's using same HDR-HC3 camcorder.

This has been reported to SCS

If you can suggest any other tests I'd be delighted to get this solved.
