[Ron Whitaker] "I came across the Cineform product called Neoscene and was wondering if anyone here has used it?"
I have it and it works very well. Mostly I use it to render between Vegas Pro and After Effects and back because it is a near lossless format which stands up well to multiple renders.
[Ron Whitaker] "My video camera shoots in either AVCHD 60i or 60p or MP4 30fps. I was wondering if by using Cineform to convert the video clips to 24fps what the quality would be."
You could convert it to 24p right in Vegas. I'm not sure why you would use NeoScene for that. Just render the files using a 24p template in Vegas. If you plan to edit them after that, make sure that you use 2:3:3:2 pulldown in the render template.
