I got 11 and was using a Radeon 6870, which should work, yet Vegas didn't show any GPU acceleration with it, and I couldn't turn it on with it. Last night I got a GeForce GTS 450 for $100 and Vegas now says GPU acceleration is on, but I haven't noticed any improvement in performance. In fact, multicamera editing and adding 3D text still makes preview playback look awful. It's probably playing back at around 10 frames per second.
