Sebastien, Photoshop is where I do most of my titles.
Yes, it is extra work but I have lot more choice as to text creation so I really don't mind doing it.
Save the images as PNGs and they'll drop right into Vegas without any problems.
Remember to pay attention to things such as safe area.
This is easily accomplished by using guides at 10% and 90% left, right, top and bottom of your image.
