Ex1 to DV on DVD in Vegas?

Hi All,
Has anyone on this forum been able to solve the difficulties of transferring EX1 video to DV, and then create clean, crisp and "twitter free" DVDs in Vegas?
I have seen good results from people using FCP, but is it an issue with Vegas?
Although most of my product will be finished in HD, there will be many times I will need to transfer my material to DV for release on DVD. I need to be sure that the Vegas/EX1 combination is right for me.
Thank you for your experience and input.
