Steve, thanks for the input a few days ago. I got sidetracked on other projects and did'nt get a chance to respond. It seems John has a similiar problem with ProType. If it is indeed a corrupt font it is inconsistent and doesn't alway occur with the same font. I also do not have any problem using the old sony titler nor any other software using the same font base. Since most of the crashes occur while scrolling through the font list with Pro TYPE ,I work around the problem by looking for the font that I want using the old Sony titler. Then carefully select the font in Pro Type. Again, thanks for your help, and John if you find a solution let us know.
