What has happened to the time-zoom + & - ?

What has happened to the time-zoom + & - ?

I'm talking about the little plus and minus that were in the lower right hand corner of the time line. The ones vertical expansion are still there (increases the heigth of the tracks) but the ones for the time zoom are gone. There does not seem to be a good way zoom in and out on sections of the timeline as there was in V7. This is my first project in V8 and I was really surprized to see them missing. I use them alot. Is this a V8 change or have I done something wrong?
