Thanks, I was using the "left justify" options on the text page, and on the placement page i was using "free form". This caused the text to move positions depending on how many characters/lines etc i had.
Now, using the "Bottom Left" option in the placement page the text stays left justified (hugging the title safe area). However having more than one line of text forces the text upward and out of my lower third instead moving outward from the center. Which works better if your text overlays a lower third.
My solution is two saved template titles - one for single line text and one for double lined text.
If you know a better way please let me know.
