The screen is 160 ppi at 480 x 320 pixel resolution. That's more than twice the ppi of most computer monitors. It is amazingly sharp and clear. I'm a huge skeptic when it comes to using small displays for anything, but the iPhone looks so good that I was blown away the first time I saw a movie and TV show on it.

Safari internet browsing on the iPhone isn't perfect for every website at this point (no flash support for instance), but it totally blows away the competition, they have nothing like it.
