Yes, both Kathlyn and I got our new iPhones yesterday -- mostly so we could experience the insanity of the lines and the crowds and the novelty of the experience (an article with pictures will shortly follow) -- and they both were lit up and activated just as pretty as you please.

Took hours to get into the store and get served but once we did, it was immediately working.

Apple was getting direct access to the AT&T system and they weren't taking "later" for an answer.

But Apple's notorious updaters are still valid as a bone of contention, but in this case was indeed AT&T's fault. I guess they aren't used to people actually wanting to do business with them -- at least not in quantity!
