Seeing that I have been making media professionals online forums communities for 13 years this week (our anniversary is either the 22nd or 25th of June, 1995 -- I can never remember the exact day) -- I think I have a pretty good idea of what these things are for and are not for. If answers were all that users wanted, then our search engine would get a lot more traffic than it does; it seems interaction is at least as popular as answers alone.

If the iPhone does ALL that you need, Zane, then you don't need much and Apple wasted a lot of time and development money bringing to market the next great thing just around the corner.

Also, using your yardstick, then most everyone in this site should pack their bags and get out of this industry as there are few here that don't need more than their present equipment/software provides. If it did, there would be no need for upgrades or updates.

I think the email system in the iPhone is useless for someone like me that gets hundreds of emails a day. Does it mean that the iPhone is useless? No, I love my iPhone -- it's the email program I hate. If that is more than you can tolerate, then please realize that I am no Apple fanboy and don't plan on signing up to get my card anytime soon.
