Background 3D Rendering

A question on 3D Background rendering: Is using Nucleo Pro 2 the most efficient way to do a 3D Batch render or is doing it via the command line going to be faster.

I have a Dual Quad Core Mac Pro with 16 GB RAM, so I'm looking for the best way to harness all that power.
