Gamma shift when using Nucleo Pro 2

Hi all,
I'm running into a problem trying to round trip footage from FCP6 to AE CS3 for effect work and back to FCP. When using Nucleo for the renders I get a gamma shift in my footage. When I use AE's normal render or multiprocessor render, the footage looks the way it should. It almost seems as if Nucleo is rendering the footage to RGB colorspace and not compensating for the fact that the footage is natively YUV.
The footage was captured with an AJA Kona LS at 10 bit uncompressed. I have my AE project color management set to SDTV 16 bit with Match legacy checked with the footage set the same (working space). My output module is also 10 bit uncompressed.
I'm running a Mac G5 PPC, dual 2.7 GHz with 6.5 G RAM, OSX 10.4.11, with AE 8.0.2.27, FCP 6.0.4, QT 7.5, NP2 2.0.2.171, and my Kona drivers are up to date.
I know other FCP/AE users are running into similar gamma shift problems, and I'm not totally convinced the problem lies with NP2, but I thought it odd that I could get an acceptable result by using AE's render. Any ideas on what I'm missing?
