Nikolas RogersFCP 6 to FCP 7 causes Episode Pro encodes to look terrible
by on Aug 23, 2010 at 2:33:45 am

Hello! I'm pulling my hair out since upgrading to FCP 7. Every spot I output looks fine as a full res QuickTime yet when I run the spot through Episode Pro I get an interlaced mess. I have triple checked all settings within FCP 7 and they are identical with my settings in FCP 6. Yet if I encode a spot using FCP 6 it looks fine. I have tried every setting I can think of within the DG Fastchannel specs and nothing helps. Any ideas as to why the output QuickTimes compress so differently between FCP 6 and FCP 7? I have a daily spot delivery schedule and this problem is a major headache. Thanks for any and all help or ideas!
