Hi Craig - Cheers for jumping in - As you are aware Alchemist Phd (Yes a 80,000+) piece of hardware allows for Clean cut and non Cadence issue - Episode, Flip and iCR do duplicate frames, our main business is to distribute commercials and Production HD/SD master around the world - so we need the besta available Software converter we can buy - here in the UK we have VERY eye popping QC and even a slight Frame blend will be faulted - so I am in a rock and a hard place, As flip has (since 2006) said their Motion Compensation is the best on the market I am very wary of this due to our stringent QC procedures.

So I was curious if Episode had re- written the Algorithms or are staying with the san mainframe of calculations - if that is the case I will need to look somewhere else - as you can accept Episode is 1k on price compared to 30k= for vantage and 80k for iCR - but the money is not the issue here - quality is ;-)

We are in talks with our reseller and we are at IBC in numbers but there has been no "REAL WORLD" comments on the standard conversion - don't get me wrong Compressor and Episode do an fair from ok job but at our level it is just no up to par ... this is our awkward position because we have been trying and testing software for the last 14 months !
