PI Demo 3.2 Crashes when loading DV Footage

I own PI 3.0 and can load my DV footage without any issue, but the new demo won't let me load any DV footage without crashing. Is this a codec issue? Thanks for your help. Let me know if you need more info to make an informed decision.
P.s. I did download the Panasonic Codec for 3.0 and that is working
