thanks for your response.

I don't think i have anything out of the norm in my set up. Now i do use the media drive to hold all my project files... capture scratch and other media needed for projects, could that cause issues?

Part of me thinks it is. I know its not the S2VR itself. I have had this problem before with firewire drives, and with internal drives, so that's why i wonder if it is the way i work.

That's ok that you didn't have a better answer... i was more looking to see how others are working and maybe my workflow is my problem.

On a side note of rebuilding the S2VR itself... what disk cache level do i choose? 128k or 256k... in the manual it show's 128k. I have never gotten faster then 130MBs when i do the AJA Kona speed test.
