Re: looking for opinions on HD Element

Got one configured at 6TB several months ago, w/ their RAID card. I had been using a jumble of small G-tech and Lacie drives... daisy chained and making a mess of everything.
Got some projects in XDCam 1080 and knew I was going to be asking for trouble... shopped around and landed on CD. for the price/capacity comparison, I figured I couldn't beat it, and I haven't looked back. Truly the easiest install I"ve ever had. (I also added some internal SATA's to the G5 at the sam time, and that took longer than the RAID card and the CalDigit box. They had asked what stripe level I wanted, so I guess that saved a bunch of time, as I didn't have to wait for any initializing...

I've called tech support twice w/ general (non-trouble) issues and a human answered and got me a quick reply.
