Importing null and camera data from Maya but I'm getting HUGE scales, why??

I've been doing a few tests with getting camera data into AE7 from Maya.
However each time I bring a maya file into AE its scale seems to be huge?? For example I have to massively scale down an object that I'm pinning to a null locator from Maya? I'm having to set the scale to something like 0.1 just to get it into the screen??
Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Afaik I've got my units set to defualt values in maya so whats causing this?
Any help greatly appreciated.
