Changing objects color over duplication

Hello guys, this is my first post here!
I've searched the whole internet and couldnt find any topics regarding the use of the expression "effect("Hue/Saturation")(value)".
I want to change this object layer color by inserting a random value through the colorize hue property each time a duplicate it, but it doesnt seem to work. When I alt click it, AE gives me this random value (7) in my case, and it doesnt work when I change it. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
color = value(360, 0);
effect("Hue/Saturation")(color)
