Here's a way to do it:
i) Track your footage and apply it to a Null.
ii) Use the Write-on effect and use the pickwhip to link the Brush Position to the Null's position. Job done.
In fact, you could not bother with an expression if you didn't need to. Just copy and paste the keyframes from the Motion Tracker (or Null) to the Brush Position.
