Hey....

One thing to keep in mind here. Color is dependent on GPU. Yes! Additionally, you need to have the fastest disk array possible to work with footage. Especially Red and uncompressed.

I'm fortunate to be running Color on an XSAN system with 4gb fibre connections finely tuned to give best possible playback. To think you'll get near real time playback in Color without an optimized disk subsystem seems a bit a stretch to me.

Yes, the 4870 should be faster... we need to see drivers and a version of Color actually tuned for it as well.

Just my 2 cents, i could be wrong!
