yeah to simplify blacks = 0/ whites =100
I think Color moderator Walter Biscardi who delivers a fair amount of network shows sets it to 1 and 99 to be safe.
I guess I live on the edge and have left it to 0 and 100.
All networks are different and you may get some kid who passes a tape with audio and video on it - or you may get an old timer who rejects something that has vertical interval blanking off a millionth of a millisecond. (or whatever it is)
