I don't know if it can help but I had an offsync problem with a multicam show. The collapse function in FCP do not really collapse the clips.... It keep multicam function behind.... and collapse function in FCP is not going through the xml.

This is an XML Ver1 issue.... don't blame FT!!! I had to sync the clips by inpoint in FCP but once in FT, if the clip in the multiclip do not start at the beginning of the multiclip, FCP put a black instead but the xml move the clip at the start of the multiclip
