I was browsing through the monitor pages on B&H's site (yes, that's what I do for fun), and I came across this:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/580030-REG/JVC_DT_V24L3DU_24_LCD_MONI...
A couple of notes/commments:
According to the description, it has an integrated waveform -- no doubt to be more competitive with Panasonic and be useful for on-set monitoring. If they wanted to one-up Panasonic and actually be useful for grading, they'd put in a parade.
The model number is DT-V24L3DU. There never was a V24L2DU to my knowledge, so perhaps they scrapped development on an intermediate model moving to a different one entirely.
It has HD-SDI, but does not specify dual-link. This would be on the top of my list of requests. Second to that is a better viewing angle, better blacks, and perhaps some type of calibration similar to the HP DreamColor (which seems like it would be great if only it had HD-SDI).
We can only hope it's not just a V24L1DU with a waveform. Street price at B&H is $4200, which is about where the L1DU's were when they came out a few years back.
