Not sure if this is the solution to your problem, as I'm sure you would have come across this before.

I've always found that a transcode between DVCPro and ProRes to result in a gamma or brightness shift. That said, if you're grading a DVCPro-imported clip and rendering out a ProRes clip, your blacks will lift.

Either rendering out at 10-bit Uncompressed gave me the best results, 8-bit was close but not perfect. Now I media manage all of my sequences into ProRes or Uncompressed before grading and have never had an issue since.
